Prospect Projection

Marques Dasilva-Romeo is a late bloomer with a lot of potential. Standing at 6’6, Marques can shoot it in a variety of ways and consistently stretch the defence. He has great shooting mechanics and he doesn’t need the ball in his hands to score. Marques will have an easier transition to the next level because of his shot and his length. At the next level he wll need to adjust to the physicality and build mental fortitude, Marques has the potential to be a major contributor at the right program.

Strengths

Marques has great shooting mechanics that allow him to get his shot off effortlessly & quickly off of the catch, dribble and on the move. If you need a guard who knows how to play and can impact winning as a shooter right away, recruit Marquis.

Weaknesses

|Defence|Ball handling

Marquis has the potential to be a good defender, however, he needs to improve his ability to defend elite guards. Its tough for him to keep high usage ball handlers in front of him, however, due to his high IQ he is a good off ball defender. 

If he wants to expand his value and role at the next level he needs to continue to improve his ball handling so he can play make for others and potentially run offence.
