Prospect Projection

Hayden John is a 6’6 shooting guard who has continued to improve his game over the years. We have been watching his game grow since he was a sophomore in high school, Hayden has evolved as a ball handler and sharpened his skill as a shooter. Hayden has good size, skill and IQ to be a good player at the next level, especially as a catch and shoot guy who can attack close outs and create plays for himself and others.

Strengths

Catch & Shoot|Triple threat|Crafty

Hayden can really shoot the ball well off of the catch, he will be able to impact the game as a catch and shoot guy at the nex level right away. Hayden is also great playing out of the triple threat and getting paint touches to create for others or himself. Hayden is also extremely crafty and can get to his spots in 3-4 dribble off of the catch.

 Weaknesses

|Versatility as a shooter|Left hand dependant|Poor point of attack defener

In order for Hayden to have a big impact at the next level, he needs to expand his ability to shoot the ball. He is great off of the catch but he doesn’t do well shooting it on the move or off of the bounce. 

Hayden loves to finish with his left hand (strong hand), and will rely on spinning back to his left when driving right. 

Lastly, Hayden needs to improve his ability to defend or he will get picked on at the next level.
