The Northway is a Canadian basketball scouting and exposure platform committed to identifying promising talent, providing credible evaluations, and connecting deserving prospects with meaningful opportunities.

We built The Northway because talented Canadian basketball players and their families need more than another promise of exposure.

They need credible evaluation, a clearer understanding of the recruiting landscape, and meaningful opportunities earned through performance.

At the same time, college coaches and basketball programs need reliable scouting intelligence to help them identify and evaluate Canadian prospects.

The Northway exists to bridge that gap.

We believe exposure should be earned, evaluations should be honest, and recruiting guidance should be grounded in reality.

Through our scouting coverage, Selection Camps, and Top 100 experiences, we create environments where athletes can compete, demonstrate their abilities, and receive meaningful feedback.

For players and families, our goal is to provide greater clarity about where they stand, what they need to improve, and which opportunities may align with their abilities.

For college coaches and basketball programs, our goal is to provide credible insight into Canadian basketball talent through firsthand scouting, player evaluations, and relationships built across the basketball community.

Led by founder and Head Scout Kayon Mayers, The Northway combines firsthand basketball experience, ongoing prospect evaluation, and relationships throughout the collegiate and professional basketball landscape.

Our work extends beyond identifying talented players. We aim to understand their abilities, development, character, and potential fit at the next level.

Through our scouting network and events, we’ve helped Canadian prospects gain visibility and access opportunities with college basketball programs.
