Prospect Projection

Yann Aphely is. a long fluid forward with a high motor who can really play above the rim. Yann can guard multiple positions from 1-4, he has developed his abiliy to create off the ball and he is becoming a catch and shoot threat. Yaan has a lot of potenial and is quickly making a name for himself. He will definitely be able to impact winning at the next level and expand on his role as he develops in the future.

 Strengths

Yann’s playing style reminds us a lot of Jared Vanderbelt. Someone who is going to play hard, play the right way and effect the game on both ends of he court. Yann is uber athletic, he can finish above the rim, he is a great rebounder and he knows how to use his length and athleticism to change shots. 

 Weaknesses

Ball handling & overall playmaking|Shooting

Yann has a lot of upside, however we focus on how well a prospct will translate to the next level. Yann will be able to find minutes on the court because of his motor, athleticism and his ability to defend. However, as far as offence, due to his lack of ability to dribble and shoot the ball, he will have to find ways to contribute as a corner 3 guy, playing out of the dunker and getting out in transition.
