Strengths
Shooting|Pace|Confidence David Popa might be the best scorer in his class. Popa led the OSBA prep league in scoring. Popa shoots catch and shoot 3’s at a high clip, all the way to Fiba range. Popa also plays the game at his own pace, he is poised and he knows how to use his body and his handle to keep big or small defenders off balance or on his hip to create space once get gets to his spots.Weaknesses
Playmaking|athleticism
The only real knock on David Popa is his decision making. Popa can score with the best of them and has the confidence to match, but do to his lack of size and athleticism it would be extremely tough, not impossible bu tough for his game to translate to the division 1 level.
As you get to higher levels of basketball, players are bigger, faster, stronger, more talented and gaps are smaller, it would be tough for hm to dominate games on scoring alone. If he can develop his playmaking ability, he has the potential to be what Kevin Pangos was to Gonzaga.
Despite his deficientcies, he has a chance to be a force at the next level In the right program if he can make the transition to a full time one.
