Taj Au-Duke

Overall Summary

Taj Au-Duke is a high IQ point guard who reminds us a lot of Tyler Ennis. Taj has an extremely mature skill set for his age. He can shoot the deep ball off of the catch and off the dribble, he can score in the paint in a variety of ways, he is poised and almost always makes the right play. If you’re looking for a player who can impact winning right away and potentially develop into a star, recruit Taj.

Strengths

Poise|Pick and Roll|Efficientcy

Taj’s biggest strength is his maturity, he is extremely poised, never rushed and he always plays under control. Taj does a great job of using his body and handle to create angles, manipulate defences and create shots for himself and other. The pick and roll has become a staple at every level of basketball, Taj does a great job of setting up the pick and roll and taking his time to make the right reads. Taj is also efficient, he gets to where he wants, doesn’t expend a lot energy and he can score a lot with a minimal amount of shots. 

Weaknesses

Handle|Consistency

Taj has a great skill set, but as he progresses to the level, he will need to tighten up his handle as players get more athletic and the gaps get a lot smaller. Taj can also learn to be more consistent and dominate every game he plays in. Sometimes he doesn’t need to dominate games with scoring, but he needs to always put his imprint on every game.
